Music
For music theory, we were learning about music elements and music analysis. The first assignment our teacher gave us was a song analysis essay. I chose the song "All I Want" by Kodaline. The result I got was not very good because it's just a passing score. I think I got this result because the amount of time I put on writing the essay wasn't enough. Since our first assignment, I tried to improve my work. Our final assignment was presenting our presentation about our chosen country. The country that I was working on is Kenya. In the begginning of the task, I was thinking that this would be a very difficult assignment. I didn't know a lot about Kenya, and there weren't a lot of traditional songs from kenya on the internet. After two weeks, I still haven't found a traditional song from Kenya. I finally remembered about a song my teacher thought me back in 2nd Grade, which was actually from Kenya. From that on, I started researching about the song's music elements, cultural history, etc. This presentation was graded based on 2 criterions. For Criterion D: personal engagement, I got an 8, and for criterion A: knowledge and understanding, I got a 7, so this is something to be proud of.
I presented my ppt on the last day, and the results were much better than my last assignment. I still think that I could do better by being more prepared, so I could deliver the presentation clearly and more confident. This presentation is my best work because I worked hard on it, and the results is very good.

GLOBAL CONTEXT
This subject is related to Personal and cultural expression because we researched about a country's traditional song, and cultural society. By knowing their culture, we could know how other countries perform their arts and we are more familiar with their identities. We also learned how music can influence cultures, and how it impacts every individuals.
