evaluation
1. What has been the success?
I have successfully drilled and painted the board. The holes that are on my laptopper are appropriate because I think this was the most simple step of making the laptopper. I have succesfully paint the basic colors of the board, which is black and white. I think the paint was neat and appealing. The painting was also easy because it only took a lot of time to dry each sides, but painting the board was not hard for me.
2. What has been the struggle?
I had struggles with sanding and painting my design on my laptopper board. I struggled with sanding the board because the results weren't very smooth too. I think this happen because I didn't sand the board long enough and I didn't keep sanding the board in one direction. I also had struggles with painting the design for my laptopper because the stencil I used was very thin, so I decided to draw the design right away, however it didn't turn out as good as the one I made with my stencil.
3. What could be done better/differently?
I thought that drawing the design without the stencil would make it look better, but it ended up look far worse. I think I should have stick with using the stencil to make the design so it would look neater and other people can get a clearer view of what the design is. I think I could paint the basic color of my board better because the texture of the paint is not in order and makes it rough.
4. What did you learn (knowledge + skills)
From this assignment I learned how to saw and drill a piece of wood. I think this is a skill that not everyone has, so I am very thankful that I could learn how to drill and saw. The knowledge I got from this assignment was choosing a design that is simple but is also appealing and I think this is significant because symbols holds a lot of meaning.
Key concept: community.
I learned about different communities from my province. This helped me understand about the key concept.
